This course will provide an overview of the business laws in Malaysia and get students familiarized with the legal framework within which business in Malaysia has to function. This course will also expose students to the provisions of Contract Law, Partnership Law, Law of Agency, selected issues on Company Law, Sale of Goods Act, Consumer Protection Act 1999, Malaysian Legal System, selected issues on Law of Tort, Intellectual Property, Employment Law and Hire Purchase. The legal knowledge in all of these areas is very important for a manager to operate effectively in the competitive business world.
